3T outlines logistics solutions for the retail industry at Total Supply Chain Summit

Staff from 3T have returned from a busy and successful two days of exhibiting at the 2017 Total Supply Chain Summit.

On the 8th and 9th May, 3T were represented by Rachel Armstrong, sales and marketing manager, and Steve Holmes, general manager for business development, at the prestigious event held at Wokefield Park in Berkshire. The summit brings together logistics professionals and industry solution providers.

Prior to their arrival, 19 meetings were set up with separate organisations all looking for solutions to unique problems in their business.  Over the two days, Rachel and Steve spoke to a number of logistics professionals, many of whom were involved in the retail industry.

Steve commented: “It’s not surprising that so many of the people interested in logistics solutions were from retail.  In many ways, the current retail market represents a perfect storm of challenges and opportunities. Fortunately, in our experience, retail professionals seem to be open to new and ambitious logistics solutions, such as the systems we are able to offer at 3T. We had some very fruitful conversations.”

Discussions ranged from reverse logistics solutions for e-commerce platforms to advance delivery notifications for multi-carrier networks and planning optimisation for same day home deliveries.

The bi-annual event next takes place on 13th and 14th November at The Met Hotel in Leeds. It will be another chance for senior professionals, responsible for supply chain within their organisation, to meet with those offering the latest services in the sector.

We aren’t just available to speak to at events like this, though. If you are interested in finding out more about how 3T can help with your company’s logistics, call us today on 0116 2824 111.
